My Bio

You want to know about me eh? Ok, something good, something good...You have smelly dog farts...oh right something about ME...I got nuthin'. I live in Canada I'm 27 and a big Mac fan. No, not Fleetwood Mac while they do have some good songs, I'm talking about Mac computers. I advocate the switch to Mac any chance I get because I made the switch from PC about a year ago and it is definitely one of the best decisions I've ever made. If you're thinking about switching and want to ask questions, please feel free to email me and I'd be happy to help! Some day, I hope to work at Apple or Disney.

I like all kinds of music, ranging from pop, to country, to rap and R&B. I like variety, I guess! Favourite singer regardless of genre is Taylor Swift. She's an excellent singer/songwriter. That's right, she writes all of her songs! If you don't know who she is, then you don't listen to her kind of music...google her sometime! Other favourites include Ashlee Simpson (yah I hear you snickering but so what!) JoJo, Michelle Branch, Alicia Keys, Notorious B.I.G., Tupac, Kanye West, Carrie Underwood and The Corrs.

So what else about me...I have a job...can be fun at times. Ummm...single, never married...still lookin for the right girl! You'll find me on Dizpins semi-regularly so I collect Disney pins among other things but read on in the hobby section to find out more!

My Hobbies

Ok so this where I talk about my hobbies. I mostly collect stuff, ranging from pins to DVDs, to jerseys. Obviously, I'm a big Disney fan so I own all Disney animated movies on DVD except Home on the Range because its the biggest piece of doo-doo I've ever seen and it ain't worthy of being in my DVD collection let alone anyone else's. I also own many TV series on DVD, including many cartoons from the 1980's...hey I am an 80's child so of course I still like the cartoons that I used to watch. Beats much of the cartoons that are on TV today. Well I like Family Guy but thats more of an adult cartoon than a kids one. But back in the day, I always watched He-Man, Transformers, Thunder Cats, She-Ra, so naturally I now own the complete series of all of them on DVD.

I'm a huge football fan, NFL style! My fave team is the San Diego Chargers. Had a chance to go there last Nov. to see the Chargers battle the Colts which is another of my fave teams and the Chargers eeked out the win! I hope to go back again next season to see a game because San Diego is a great city to visit.

As I mentioned already, I like everything to do with Apple, Macs, iPods and so on. Apple makes computing the way it should be...simple and fun and not frustratingly difficult like Windoze.
I use a PC at work because I have to, I use a Mac at home because I want to. I made the switch to get away from the problems of the Windows world yet I'm still immersed in it on an almost daily basis not only at work but at home where my dad and bro still compute on the dark side.

I like to travel when I get the chance. I recently took a tour of California with stops in San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco and of course Disneyland in Anaheim. It was a great time and I'm hoping that this year I'll be able to go to Florida to experience WDW for the first time in...24 years! The last time I was there, I was 4 years old...don't really remember much about it..except the big Epcot ball.

I dabbled a little in photography.I still like it but theres much to learn. I had all this great camera equipment, very expensive, and lots of people thought that I was a professional, with the gear that I had. Not so, but hey it was nice for people to think that. I sold off most of my lenses and kept only the basic one because I will get back into it again soon. For now, its on the backburner...till my next vacation! LOL image

So, I recently got back into Disney pin collecting. I originally started in 2001...collected for a couple of years and then got out because it was frustrating at times, wasn't having fun anymore but that wasn't the fault of anyone in particular. Its just that I didn't have the money or a good plan to be able sustain being in the hobby. But now that I'm back, I have a plan that doesn't include collecting all of 1 character, its really about taking the advice that I should have heeded in the first place, which is collect what you like. Now, I don't worry about collecting all pins of my favourite characters, just the ones that really appeal to me. It gives me the freedom to buying whatever I want and not have to worry about it looking out of place in my collection. I also set a goal for myself so that I don't go totally crazy and end up with thousands of pins. Some people really like it and collect as many as they can and that's great but for me, I've set a goal of 200 pins, once that is reached, I don't need anymore. Its not because I like Disney pins any less than the next Dizpinner, but for the simple reason of self control and money. I know how addicting this can be and if you are prepared for it going in then you have a greater chance of not putting yourself in the poor house. So thats my philosophy in this hobby. Some of my favourite Disney characters include: Donald Duck, Chip and Dale, Eeyore, Grumpy, Dopey, Maleficent, Jack Skellington and Sorcerer Mickey.
